Administrative History

The Campus Activities Office was originally created as the Office of Student Actvities in 1973 under the direction of the Vice president of Student Affairs. It was renamed in 1975. Currently the office falls under the jurisdiction of the Dean of the College and is responsibile for coordinating "student extracurricular activities and all nonacademic scheduling, including the College Center and evening use of all auditoria. The office maintains the College calendar...manages convocations and commencement and makes arrangements for academic dress." Campus Activities also manages the Palmer Gallery.
