Description
Second and last part of the AAVC panel discussion chaired by President-elect Fergusson. The speakers were Willa Baker (VC 1987), Maryellen Hadjisky (VC 1945), Helen King Ikeler (VC 1922), Judith West McCarter (VC 1962), Demetrios Papanikolas ( VC 1987), Mediera Meder (VC 1937), Katharine Forbes Erskine (VC 1911), and Richard Roberts (VC 1974). Topics included rapid technological changes, specifically the growth of personal computers; the evolution of coeducation; diversity and admissions, including need-blind admissions; the euro-centric curriculum and growth of interdisciplinary studies; and the campus parking and litter problem and subsequent landscape architecture assessment.
