J’ai un visiteur, mon cousin de Campagne, aujourd'hui, qui a été absent pendant deux mois, et par consequence, je ne me trouve pas dans une humeur la plus heureuse du monde. Ce matin je m'aumusa par l'étude de Tennyson et de Browing comme dramatistes, et cette apresuidi j'écrivis telles idées que j'eus pu ramasser, pour Laura J. Wylie dans la classe. Bien, ce fut très difficile à faire, mais en même temps très interessant, J'adore In a Balcony et je suis toujours heureuse

de l'avoir un mit en scène. La drame de Tennyson avec laquelle je le compara c'est Becket. La forme de cette drama est absoluement parfait, mais elle manque la vrai qualité poetique de l'antre, et il y en a plus d'artificiel dans les caractères.

I do anyway, on the whole, though I’m pretty much given to French. Don’t let anyone see this -- it’s full of mistakes I know. There is going to be a good concert this evening, but I don’t know whether I feel energetic enough to go or not. No classes tomorrow, thank goodness.
