Thursday morning.
Dearest May Louise,
I’ve been working like a dog this week, but I’ve rather enjoyed it. I’m reading Kantian Ethics and doing a history topic just now. Then I’ll have to cram for exams! I’ve gone skating for an hour every day and the ice has been fine, but to day it’s raining, alas, and it will spoil the sport I fear.
Prexy has asked the first installment of seniors to his house at eight o’clock on Saturday -- I didn’t get in on this, but I s’pose he’ll be having parties right along now, so there’s something to look forward to.
I’ve just bought me a fountain pen for note-taking in the library etc -- we aren’t allowed to carry bottles of ink into the reference library or take books out of it -- so, I got the pen and I’m crazy about it!
There goes the bell -- adieu till later. +++
You didn’t tell me about

the Patts’ party for the [Wongs]. Did you go, and was it nice? I too indulged in the luxury of a down-town shampoo t’other day, and my hair hasn’t looked so grand before in ages!
I did leave a good many things at home I admit, but not an umbrella. That thing does not belong to me -- my own little umbrella is here, safe and sound. I carried it over me to classes this morning and it is still wet -- maybe it’s not pouring! Good weather to stay in and study I s’pose, but that’s small comfort. Did you ever read Kant’s philosophy? I have to read 800 pages of it for Ethics -- I’ve finished 400 so far, and it’s just back the stiffest reading I ever hope to do. Hark, the “lunching” bell. How is Pearl?
Farewell
Slews of love
Peg.
Miss Salmon is going to give a party Saturday night to which I am asked. I’m so curious to see what ‘twill be like. They say her ideas of entertaining are very original.
