Dearest Mamie
Tis nine o’clock of a Wednesday night. My trunk is packed and tomorrow it will go -- here is the check for it. I hope you don’t mind red ink. I’m in Ruth’s room, and this is her paper and she’s using her black ink herself. I’m so sleepy I don’t know where I’m at
So farewell till Saturday
Peg.
P.S. Don’t open any packages in my trunk!
