Abstract
The collection contains botanical illustrator Jeanne Russell Janish's original paleontology drawings from a class at Stanford University and her original drawings for by Roxana Ferris (Berkeley, University of California Press, 1970). Also included are two oil paint sketches by Janish of Vassar College's Chapel and Library and Chapel.

Description
This scrapbook contains materials from two alumnae: Lucile (Cross) Russell and her daughter Jeanne (Russell) Janish. Cross' portion covers her high school education in Fairbury, Nebraska from 1887 to 1889, several years at the Jacksonville Female Academy (in Jacksonville, Illinois) through May 1892
