Dear Professor Einstein,
Enclosed is the draft letter to Zurich. I find it is correct. Please let me know through Miss Dukas whether in your opinion it can go out as is. I assume that you want to inform your former wife about the content such that your letter arrives before the lawyer’s communication, so that she knows that the formalities must be adhered to after the sale of the building.

Cordial thanks. Compensation for the management must naturally be included in the power of attorney for Mrs. Mileva, and should be fixed at the customary rate.
I don’t know in what form the money from the building should be forwarded to Mileva without jeopardizing the will and without the creditor mortgagees being able to wangle it out of Mileva. Perhaps Miss Dukas or my sister could send it to Tetel. There is a similar danger regarding the compensation for the management. Perhaps that management fee could also be paid to Tetel.

einliegend ist der Briefentwurf nach Zürich. Ich finde ihn richtig. Lassen Sie mich bitte durch Fräulein Dukas wissen, ob er Ihrer Ansicht nach so abgehen kann. Ich nehme an, daß Sie Ihre frühere Frau über den Inhalt so unterrichten wollen, daß Ihr Brief vor der Mitteilung des Anwalts eintrifft, damit sie weiß, daß nach dem Verkauf des Hauses der Form genügt werden muß.

Herzlichen Dank. In die Vollmacht für Frau Mileva muss natürlich auch eine Vergütung für die Verwaltung inbegriffen sein, die man in landesüblicher Höhe ansetzen soll.
Ich weiss nicht, in welcher Form man der Mileva das Geld vom Haus zukommen lassen soll, ohne dass das Testament gefährdert wird und ohne dass die Hypothekengläubiger es der Mileva abknöpfen können. Vielleicht könnte Frl. Dukas oder meine Schwester es an Tetel senden. Auch bezüglich der Vergütung für die Verwaltung besteht eine solche Gefahr. Vielleicht könnte diese Verwaltungsgebühr auch an Tetel gezahlt werden.
