Dear Nathan,
It’s good that you scheduled Monday for 3 o’clock. I’m coming on Monday about ½ past 9 o’clock to Bucky’s. If I don’t hear from you, I’ll call you. I’ll be very happy, once the business of the will is settled, that the devil can safely take me when it seems right to him.
Postscript to the will clauses:
1) Margot should take care of Miss Dukas
2) My son Albert receives whatever he wants from my library. The library in Jerusalem receives the rest; whatever it doesn’t want should be used somehow for the public benefit. Albert should also get my violin and the piano, if he has room for the latter.

I sent out the letter immediately after receipt; the procedure did seem strange to me, because I don’t state my view in the letter.

Lieber Nathan!
Es ist gut, dass Sie Montag für 3 Uhr verabredet haben. Ich komme Montag etwa 9 ½ Uhr zu Bucky’s. Wenn ich von Ihnen nichts höre, rufe ich Sie an. Ich bin sehr froh, wenn die Testament-Angelegenheit erledigt ist, dass mich ruhig der Teufel holen kann, wenns ihm richtig scheint.
Nachtrag zu den Testamentsbestimmungen
1) Margot soll für Frl. Dukas sorgen
2) Mein Sohn Albert erhält aus meiner Bibliothek, was er will. Den Rest erhält die Bibliothek in Jerusalem; was sie nicht will, soll irgendwie gemeinnützig verwendet werden. Albert soll auch meine Geige erhalten und das Klavier, wenn er Platz für letzteres hat.

Den Brief habe ich sofort nach Empfang abgesandt; das Verfahren schien mir aber sonderbar, weil ich doch in dem Brief nicht Stellung nehme.
