The Lucy Maynard Salmon Collection
includes the personal papers of Lucy Maynard Salmon along with two smaller collections
of papers belonging to her mother, Maria Clara Maynard Salmon, and her brother, Pomeroy L. Salmon. The materials relate
to her work as an historian and professor at Vassar College as well as her work with
the suffrage movement and local political issues. There are also materials relating
to her family, education and personal life. Formats include correspondence,
manuscripts, printed material, clippings, minutes, reports, notes, and
photographs.

Correspondence, clippings, speeches, publications, government documents, and other materials concerning Bondfield's work with labor and trade unions, primarily in Great Britain, but also Australia, Canada, the United States and other countries.

research material, photographs, and glass plate negatives relating to Mitchell's work as an astronomer and
member of the faculty of Vassar College.

Papers from her work with the YMCA in France during World War I consisting of her letters to her family, letters and cards from servicemen, a guidebook, photographs, and other memorabilia.

Among the legal papers are items on Lillian Hellman. There are also photos, videotapes, scrapbooks and realia.

Papers relating to her play , 1915-1958, include her manuscript, contracts, correspondence with George Arliss (1868-1946) who collaborated with her on rewriting it and played the lead on Broadway and in the film version, 1917-1931, Hamlin's letters to her husband while the play was in rehearsal and on tour, 1917, and other correspondence concerning movie rights and reviews. Other items include manuscripts of other plays, essays, and a novel; and clippings, letters, programs, and photographs (some arranged in scrapbooks) concerning her plays, 1917-1931.

Christopher Morley, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Composed mainly of correspondence between Einstein and the executor of his estate, Otto Nathan. Also includes letters from Elsa Einstein to Nathan, as well as some manuscripts, ephemera and photographs of Einstein.

Includes correspondence, memoranda, clippings, articles, speeches, and press releases from Blanding's time at Vassar, including those concerning women's education, academic freedom, 1950's politics, her stand against Congressional investigation of Communist influence in education, her introduction to Adlai Stevenson on a radio program, and her 1962 statement on pre-marital sex and Vassar students.

Portraits of George Bernard Shaw, as well as photographs, framed materials, notes, and memorabilia relating to Shaw.

The bulk of the collection consists
of Lowrie's manuscripts of published and unpublished book reviews, 1934-1952. Other
items include correspondence relating to Vassar College, her work as a book
reviewer, responses to her reviews, her health, comments on people and politics,
popular culture, her dogs, and other personal issues. There is also family and
biographical material, her Christmas card collection, and other items.

Correspondence, photographs and miscellaneous papers from Robert E. Middleton, VC Professor of Music 1953-1985.

The collection consists primarily of photographs taken by American photographer Rosalie Thorne "Rollie" McKenna (1918-2003) that document life and events at
Vassar College during the 1950s and 1960s, including contact sheets, negatives, and prints. It also includes photographs taken by
McKenna of Springside National Historic Site, Matthew Vassar's former estate in
Poughkeepsie, as well as correspondence with the National Park Service.
