Materials related to the early years
of the Vassar College Black Studies Program and the student sit-in staged in 1969
for improvements to the program along with other demands relating to the
African-American community both on campus and off.

The collection consists of administrative records of the Africana Studies Program, primarily correspondence and subject files.

An artificial collection of materials
documenting the history of Vassar College, collected by various departments of the
Library over several decades. Materials include letters, photographs, programs,
college circulars and other publications, building specifications, contracts, bills
and receipts, inventories, accounts, committee minutes, architectural and landscape
drawings, reports, and club constitutions and records.

Clippings, biographical information forms, news releases, memoranda, pamphlets, correspondence, photographs, book jackets, and articles. pertaining to the lives and careers of faculty, staff, administrators, trustees, and presidents of the college, as well as alumnae/i and other individuals with a siginificant relation to the development of the college.

Materials relating to the work of the Vassar College
Board of Trustees. Includes meeting minutes, reports, correspondence, committee records, and financial
records.

Minutes, reports, correspondence and other material created by the Office of Student Life and Diversity. Also included are audiovisual materials, including VHS and compact disc recordings of baccalaureate ceremonies; photographs; event flyers and posters; and realia including mugs, t-shirts, and pens.

Materials from the various classes of Vassar College, mostly concerning graduation, reunion, and alumnae/i activities.

Correspondence, government
pamphlets, reports, posters, memoranda, financial records, brochures, and other
items relating to women's involvement in World War II activities including the armed
services, Red Cross work, college war councils, and raising bonds.

Material documenting the history of the Vassar College Drama Department and its many components and programs (including the Experimental Theatre). Includes programs, news clippings, production material, photographs, negatives, slides, and film.

Materials related to the actives of Vassar College Facilities Operations, including basic service,
construction, renovation, and maintenance projects concerning the college’s buildings and property.

Programs, invitations, songs, sheet music, play scripts, committee records, and other materials related to Vassar College's Founder's Day tradition.

Course materials, annual reports, and
other materials relating to the development of the Vassar College History Department.

Meeting minutes, constitutions, clippings, scrapbooks, and other material related to a variety of student clubs and campus organizations at Vassar College.

The collection contains
correspondence between Natural History Museum administrators, other museums and
educational institutions, and vendors and collectors; annual reports; inventories
and lists of specimens kept by the museum; clippings about the museum;
advertisements for, and descriptions of, various anatomical and biological specimens
and models; records of specimen loans and purchases; and floor plans for a proposed
addition to the New England Building.

This collection contains materials
relating to the financial and business operations of Vassar College, primarily
records kept by the Treasurer, Cashier, Accountant, and other administrators involved
in college expenses and accounts.

Diaries, letters, scrapbooks,
photograph albums and other materials documenting student life at Vassar
College.

An artificial collection of materials documenting the history of Vassar College, collected by various departments of the Library over several decades. There are also some materials on Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, the Hudson Valley, students in general, and other colleges.

Materials relating to the financial
and business operations of the college. Includes restricted material.

Correspondence, exhibition and publication programs, and other printed materials related to the work of American artist Violet Oakley, particularly the large-scale triptych she painted for the Vassar College Alumnae House in 1924, .

Correspondence, manuscripts, teaching
materials, publications, and other papers related to Fairservis's work as a professor,
archaeologist, author, and playwright. Of particular note is his correspondence with his
family describing his trips overseas.
